Summary

The bunion surgery market is expected to grow by USD 606.1 million in 2029 from USD 458.4 million in 2024 at a growth rate of 5.7% during the forecast period. Increasing numbers of bunion surgeries are the factor driving the growth of the bunion surgery market. With the continued increase in incidence of bunions, especially amongst the elderly population, the demands for surgical treatments to correct deformity increase. Additionally, increasing awareness of effective treatment alternatives and the availability of advanced techniques, including minimally invasive procedures, has increased the number of patients for bunion surgery.
“Hospitals segment is expected to have the fastest growth rate in the bunion surgery market, by end user, during the forecast period.”
Based on end user, the bunion surgery market is segmented into hospital, ambulatory surgery centers, and orthopedic clinics. The hospital segment is expected to have the highest CAGR during the forecasted period. The growth rate can be attributed to the availability of advance surgical techniques, and ongoing investment in healthcare infrastructure. As hospital continues to expand and adopt new and advance technologies they remain the preferred choice for complex bunion surgery.
“Minimally invasive surgeries segment accounted for the highest growth rate in the bunion surgery market, by type, during the forecast period.”
Based on type, the bunion surgery market is bifurcated into traditional surgeries and minimally invasive surgeries. The minimally invasive surgeries segment is expected to grow at the highest CAGR in the market of bunion surgery mainly due to advancement in technological such as specialized surgical tools. These surgeries have enhanced the precision and reliability of bunion surgery, making them more effective and accessible.

“Asia Pacific: The fastest-growing region in bunion surgery market.”
The global market for bunion surgery is categorized into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East & Africa, and GCC Countries. Notably, the Asia-Pacific region marks the highest CAGR in the bunion surgery market, due to increasing investments into healthcare infrastructure. In addition to this, the number of rapidly aging patients strongly demands effective treatments for diseases related to age including bunion. The growing medical tourism activities in the APAC region also happen to be of great influence for the market, given the rapid increase of patients seeking advanced surgical treatments and high-class healthcare services. These factors, collectively, have put the APAC region on a growth trajectory for bunion surgery markets.
